This is the first news post on the Nowton community website. This website is produced on a voluntary basis. The objective being to provide connections within our community; be that with events (COVID allowing!), need requests, online chat or participating in some other way.
Over the next few weeks, more information will be added to the website. This is for the benefit of everyone in the village, even if someone is not on the internet – we might be able to become even better neighbours. So if you have any ideas please do get in contact.
On this website, we have a community chat area for those who are not on mainstream social media. There is an events page, where as well as “regular” events such as cricket matches and church services, perhaps we could arrange a village walk together, a BBQ, or a community litter pick?
On our contacts page, as well as the regular contacts, do you have a trade, skill or service which you would like to publish? Are you a plumber, electrician, gardener, babysitter, able to provide companionship, expert form filler, accountant, vehicle mechanic etc?
This is a work in progress but one which will hopefully become a useful tool.
